Some Sorrows

What sorrow fills my heart,
At odd moments of my life?
My throat tightens,
Tears form and
Fingertips explore hot
Flushed cheeks.

I wonder at the source?
What sorrow did I live,
That comes back to haunt me?
At unguarded times,
What brings the tears?
The lonely feeling,
Of something lost,
Or something never found.

What path led me here,
Without you near.
Did I lose you at a turn?
Or never find you,
And if I lost you,
Where did you go?
So, I may follow
But first,
Tell me,
Who,
You,
Are.
