Write Your Need

she thought she'd
rhyme her soul
forgetting the
need for words
she strained against
a barrier
of piled high dictionaries
it was so beyond
her capabilities
she drooped in fatigue
called it a day
Left for work vowing
no rhyme is worth
my soul
Still it teased
it sang
it spoke
In words whispered
on a loney breeze
write me please
it intreated
not the rhyme
or the reason
write your soul
let others know
how dear is poetry
to life and love
to despair and sorrow
write your need
