Earth Bound

I heard your eagles scream
Across the sky
And where was I?
But earthbound and lost.

Your wings shadowed the land
Searching for your lost one
But I by merciless deed
Had lost my wings

The unforgiving wind
Whipped up the storm
The rain fell as hail
Across the land

I heard your last
despairng cry
As elements tore you
Away to another place

I heard an echo
Of your eagles cry
In my dream
Of another future
Waiting for me to
fly again.
