Every business process has a beginning, a middle and an end.

For most of us that do consulting, the beginning is usually a meeting with you, our client. This can be face to face, email, or phone.

I usually use Skype which is free if you have an account with them. It’s used on your computer with a headset. Since most of the business is done online, I always recommend being in front of your computer for these calls. It makes it easier to go to links, I provide or you provide for examples.

The key purpose of the first call is to:

Identify any issues your having with your business

Determine whether I can actually be of help to you

Develop a rapport with you to build a partnership

At this time, I charge by the hour however the first initial half hour is free. We need ground to build on or another way to look at it, is we need to have a solid foundation built by both you the client and I as the consultant.

Comments are always welcome on any blog post. Stay tuned for my next post

Even though the word logo originally means word, many business logos are a combination of symbols or images with words, most commonly the expression of the business name.

The basic feng shui level in the business logo design is the use of a symbol or an image in order to illustrate what your business does.

There are different elements that typically go with a particular business.

FIRE: Creative Studios, Restaurants, Cafes, Retail, Sports-related, etc.

EARTH: Construction, Hospitality, Real Estate Development, Agriculture-related, etc.

METAL: Banking/Financial/Accounting, Tech Industry, Government Offices, Architect offices, etc

WATER Cleaning Services, Temp/Recruitment Agencies, Healing Businesses, Beauty Industry, etc

WOOD Day Care/Schools/Universities, Floral Business, Clothing, Travel Agencies, Publishing Industry, etc.

FIRE IS PASSION AND HIGH ENERGY

A balanced Feng Shui Fire Element in your space will bring a supporting energy in all your career efforts and will help you achieve recognition.

Feng Shui Fire Element Colors are:
Red
Orange
Purple
Pink
Strong Yellow

EARTH IS NOURISHMENT AND STABILITY

A strong and harmonious Feng Shui Earth Element will help create stability, nourishment and protection for all your relationships.

Feng Shui Earth Element Colors are:
Light Yellow
Beige and various Earthy/Sand Colors

METAL BRINGS CLARITY AND LIGHTNESS

Feng Shui Metal Element brings the qualities of sharpness, precision, clarity and efficiency; its balanced presence will help you live with clarity and lightness.

Feng Shui Metal Element Colors are:
Gray
White

WATER BRINGS FRESHNESS AND ABUNDANCE

A harmonious Feng Shui Water Element will bring a refreshing energy of calm, ease, purity and freshness. Water is also the ancient symbol of abundance, thus a potent feng shui cure.

Feng Shui Water Element Colors are:
Blue
Black

WOOD IS HEALTH AND VITALITY

Lush and healing, the Feng Shui Wood Element will bring the energy of health, vitality and growth. It is also an expression of abundance, thus an ancient feng shui cure for wealth and prosperity.

Feng Shui Wood Element Colors are:
Brown
Green

Basically what it comes down to, is that eBay will be charging final value fees on the entire transaction including shipping.

If you have been offering free shipping for the past couple of years this will not affect you since you have already been paying these!

“Listings created PRIOR to July 6th will be treated differently than listings created AFTER July 6th.

It has been confirmed by Ina Steiner at AuctionBytes that listings created BEFORE July 6th will close at the CURRENT final value fee structure and will NOT be assessed fees on shipping.

Listings created ON July 6th or AFTER will see the reduced FVFs but they will be charged on the TOTAL amount of the order (including shipping).

So if you have listings that were created BEFORE July 6th, you will see a different fee percentage on those listings than on listings created from July 6th on.

What this means is that the fees charged on your August invoice will NOT be representative of your fees going forward.

Once your there, though, what do you do with it?

You need to dress it up. Make it look good. Put your all of your passion about your business on it!

There are a lot of build it yourself sites out there that are pretty good. But they don’t provide that extra special graphic, logo, image that says IT’S YOURS!

This is where a graphic designer can step in and lend a helping hand.

Graphic designers come in all shapes and sizes. Small, large, fancy, and plain, it takes all kinds. Everyone is unique which is great! This is what it takes to create your dream!

What you should check for.

1) Portfolio: If what they have there is not to your taste, it usually doesn’t do you any good to try them.

2) If they have a FAQ, be sure to check it out.

3) Look at any references they have.

4) How easily the information is available on their website?

5) Contact page and site map should be easily available. Is it the case?

7) Have they provided the relevant information/content?

Check for a website email and or phone and contact them. If you have samples of what you like, be sure to include those when you ask your questions.

Good luck!
