Old Warriors

Warriors of a forgotten age
Heros grown old
Never knowing that love
Would be just around the cornor
Swords hung up on dusty walls
Living alone with the truth

You capivated me with your honesty
Giving me what I had looked
For so long.
Exchanging vows
Of trust and living our truths
With an openness that belied our age

Our shields hang side by side
On an old wall
For love has replaced the fevor of war
And age has replace the foolishness of youth
Our honesty could allow no less,
Let others carry on the quest.
